Rear Diff problem???

I have a 2002 4.6 2wd F150 and the left front brake is locking up. The dealership told me it has to do with metal shavings in the rear diff that is messing up the anti lock sensor and have to pull the rear diff apart to see what's going on. Does this sound right? $1000 just for labor...

Thanks,

Mike

I may be wrong, but I don't see how a problem with the ABS sensor on the REAR would affect a FRONT brake.........just going on logic here, no specific knowledge.

Dosen't sound to logical to me either and if all they are doing is pulling the rear diff cover that price is a bit steep to m.
