Angry totalled the f150

well 2 days ago i was driving down the road not speeding or anything and i was halfway thru an intersection and this dumb bitch decided to run a red light in the left turn lane and turned right in front of me i tried avoiding her but slammed her side. she was driving a corolla. but basically my frame/suspension hit the car and to bottom of my bumber. it bent my frame and suspension is ****ed. im so angry right now because of all of this. today i found out i dont have full coverage on my truck so i guess im screwed who knows. im getting a bodily injury claim cuz i have deep bruising. and my neck is very stiff. i have a pounding headache. i just hope i get enough money outta this to get another f150 and lift it up. it just aint fair for me to have a nice *** truck then it get totalled and not get another one when it wasnt even my ****n fault. whatever hopefully thi sall gets worked out

If the police determine it was her fault, her insurance would have to pay for your truck.

That really sucks, man..

But as I'm sure you'll hear over and over again, the important thing is that you're ok..

Hope things work out and glad you came out the other side..

that sucks about your truck...

but at the same time remind yourself that the important part is that no one got seriously injured and now maybe you can get a nicer truck

a bent frame is something that is generally not fixable. sure, a bent frame may be able to be straightened, but if the truck were to require total frame replacement, well that's not economically feasible unless he were to do the work himself.

if the lift subframe wasn't bent/cracked, you may be able to recover that, and put the lift under another F-150.

How can you NOT know what your insurance coverage is? Anyway if it is her fault it doesn't matter. She pays.

That's assuming she has insurance. The lady that took out my truck had a canceled insurance card on her.

Thats even better...if she has no insurance your insurance company can pursue her for liability that is if you have uninsured motorist insurance. If not you get an attorney and go to town on her ***. I think you will win all anyway you approach it. she also pays for a loaner for YOU in the mean time.

Make sure the officer that wrote the report did NOT make it a NO fault accident. Get a copy of the report and fight anything that is not accurate.

Note. State Farm has told me that if a driver hits me and has no insurance or not enough, they fix my rig immediately and State Farm does whatever it takes to recoup from them. My rates are unaffected.

she was cited for failure to yeild to oncoming traffic. i have around 10 eyewittness all their phone numbers etc..i might have to get an attorney i just dont know how this will all shake out. the cop even told me it was her fault. i didnt get a ticket or anything. i need some wheels though right now at least a rental car..would i be able to get a rental until i get my claim and purchse a new truck? and yes the frame is screwed..bent inwards causing my front tires to be pigeon toed and pushed into the fenderflares. all this legal crap is such a P.I.T.A!!!

Even if you do not have collision coverage, your insurance company can assist you with what needs to be done. Contact your agent, that's what they are for.

If she has insurance you go straight to her insurance office and ask for a rental. If she does NOT talk to YOUR insurance agent first then talk to an attorney about dealing with this and tell him what happened and that you need a rental until this is handled. Take him a copy of the TA report and the witnesses names and numbers. Make sure you find out from him if she will pay for all his costs as well. Do it!

your insurance agent would be helpful to talk to about the situation.
