1998 Ford F-150 4.9L 6 cyliner 3 speed automatice w/overdrive

I have a 1998 Ford F-150 4.9L 6 cylinder with overdrive. I am thinking about pulling my fishing boat which weighs between 1500-2000 pounds, depending upon how it is loaded. Not planning any real long trips, maybe 200-300 miles each way at the longest.

I know not to pull the boat in overdrive, but other than that, do you see any real problems. Truck has about 33,000 miles on it and is in great shape.

Thanks for your responses.
