Has the truck felt faster in previous months/years?

I am just wondering how you think your truck is underpowered for what it is. What motor are you running?

If the truck hasnt had a tune up recently, then it may just need some new plugs, fresh oil and clean filter(s).

plugs and wires are about 10,000 old, like last night she felt like a different truck but the day before last it felt slow its just sporadic on when it feels strong and weak it could just be the fact that it is a 97 4.6

Motorcraft Plugs ? A dirty MAF can make them feel like a slug. If your getting a chirp from a stop, that's not bad for a 97 4six.

Mine was a slug at 185,000 lol. I up graded the injectors to Type 3's , updated the coils, -new set and added a 8 fresh Motorcraft plugs. It ran like a different truck. - It actually felt light and quick.

I'm not sure what exactly was wrong with it .. I Installed all updates/upgrades at the same time. - Most likley a combination of things. 35% of those miles , I was pulling another vehicle behind me, about 6-7000 lbs. I worked her a little.

I'm over a quarter million miles now, but I've made other improvements since. Runs very strong and she's still pullin.

146k on the ORIGINAL fuel filter?????? If this is how you take care of your vehicle, it's not surprising.
