Careful , a few of chemicals can be hell on the clear coat. I call it white rust. Mine went to the salvage yard for recycle, I think I got 30 or 40 bucks for all - Depends on Aluminum prices, but Aluminum usually pretty stable on the market. Anyway, found a good lookin factory set on ebay for $125, but shipping hurt a bit lol. It can be allot of work re-finishing those. Maybe someone has a trick or two to share.

I can't tell by lookin. Depends how they take aluminum polish ? Rube the polish in bit, - the applicator turns black pretty quick if their not cleared.

Cleared Aluminiums, your not suppose to use aluminum polish. If you do, you'll notice the applicator doesn't turn black like it should, then yuh should remove the polish and don't use it on clear. Some Aluminum polish brands aren't clear coat friendly.

That's the best way I can tell.

Those were yours ? That's the factory clear right? I've seen some pretty bad clear jobs for sale,- those look nice, like factory. Priced right w/shipping Included! I trust the seller as well. I'd grab em if I needed a set.

Much better when you purchase the complete set, - it's not that easy finding that style in that good of shape and from the same truck.

I looked for factory replacements for quite awhile, about 2 1/2 , 3 years ago. I finally found a matching set on eBay after about two months. I found allot 1 rim and two rim buys, but mannn, they looked different from each other. - One a little darker and/or another that's been re cleared/shiny. Some , the aluminum matched , but the gray painted area didn't match lol. When the guy put the set up I'm running now, you could tell they belong together.

Look on eBay, you'll see what I mean most likely.

Yea, - Get em!

I have aluminum wheels that arent coated. They get dirty easy I have to polish them 3-4 times a year. I use Mothers aluminum polish. Some of those spray on Aluminum cleaners (like megulars)help keep the brake dust off. I always start with that.

Yea , it doesn't work on clear coat - I think I posted that earlier. That mothers can crack the clear coat. That's why it says on the can - DO NOT use on clear coat. Or NOT RECOMMENDED for clear coat applications.
Like Patrick said a few posts up, just wash an wax .

What shines them up the most for me is that Power Ball deal in a drill motor and just a little Meguires quick detail polish. The spray on stuff.
