Factory tow package?? and cooler-thing

Question- my 04 4x2 4.6 5-speed Heritage has a tow hitch, and there is a fuse in place for the electric trailer brake. Its got the rectangular 5-pin (i think 5) harness.
I'm wondering if its possible that I have some type of tow package, or is this nothing out of the ordinary?

Oh, and in front of the radiator, there is a little radiator thing that looks like a tranny cooler- I have a 5-speed, what is this cooler for?

And if this post should be in towing, go ahead and move it.

I've got the rectangular plug- not the round one.

then you do not have the factory installed "tow" package or someone removed the other plug, is not a big deal though, enjoy your truck

I dont think ive ever heard of the tow package on the 5spd. The clutch typically can't hold the engine torque under heavy loaded applications, which is why the tow ratings are lower for the manuals vs the autos

Agreed, its your PS cooler

Are you talking about the connector by the ODB-II port ?
That would be the pigtail for the electric brake controller

The back of the truck looks like this ?

Disagree on the PS cooler. None of the '04's I've seen have a cooler that actually looks like a cooler, unlike the pre-'04s which did. The '04s and up simply had a long tube section that ran out in front of the radiator, but nothing that looks like a "cooler".

But I'll admit never seen a 5 speed truck so they may be different. Can you post up a picture of the suspected cooler.

A, he is talking about the Heritage, same as an 03.

B, yes the 04s at least had the PS cooler with fins.
