2000 F150 7700 Question

A buddy of mine's father is getting rid of his 2000 F150 7700 series 4x4 regular cab truck... it's got 114k on the odometer. It's got the 5.4l v8 with the manual 4x4. And the best part about it, the truck runs well with no problems and never ever been in an accident.

He's willing to give it to me $2,500 cash. Is this good?

He's been the only owner of it too and the paint is flawless.

I'm considering it for my plow truck/utility truck around the yard.

Any suggestions?

if you don't want it let me know...

my boss had one it was an XLT regular cab 8 foot bed, we used it to plow and he hauled with it, it was a great truck it would have been awsome with a 6 speed manual trans though

Eh... I think I'm gonna borrow it for a week just to make sure.

I've driven it in the past, and it's a good truck.

Just be cool to have a light duty F250... sort of speak.

I do love the OBS F150s...

XLT with power everything except the 4x4.

I drove it around today and that thing has got some power to it. No rattles or noises either. The steering is great and the interior is nearly flawless other than the usual wear and tear.

I tried the 4x4 out in the yard and went into a field a little bit just to test it. No noises, and it works great. The axle code also tells me it's got a 4.10 LS.

I'm lovin' it.

If you don't want it I'll take it - honestly, that is more than a fair price for a truck that only has 114k. Around here it would go for over 2x that.
