hi my 97' 4x4 xlt has the 4x4 stuck, it wont come out , anyone else have this problem?????


PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

 

Mine has done this to me before. The way I got it out was to go about 30mph in a straight line for about a quarter mile with it switched to 4wd, then I stopped, put it into neutral, then switched it into 2wd.

My advice would to just be to play around with it and see if you can get it to switch out of it. If worse comes to worse, take it to a shop and get it fixed before you break it driving around in 4wd alot.
