Talking My 6" Fabtech Weekend Install *Pics*

Thought I would share some pics of my weekend project - installing my 6" Fabtech lift. I previously installed a pro-comp 6" lift on my '07 in my garage so I figured I could handle this one as well. In my opinion, this install was actually easier than on the '07. Maybe because I had more expirence, but I think the kit itself was easier. Like dropping the front differential down into the new lower crossmembers without even having to remove the front driveshaft vs. having to completely remove the entire axle assembly on the 07. Little things like that. I cranked the torsion bars up just a bit higher than stock position as well. Anyways - onto the pics!

BEFORE:

Talk about a rake!

Progress:

Yes, that is my plan. I have the 3" PA body lift and gap guards sitting in the garage. Still have to buy wheels/tires/4.88 gears then I'll be ready to install it. My plan is **** Cepek DC-1 polished wheels with 38" Mickey Thompson MTZ's or Toyo M/T's. Leaning towards the MTZ's since everyone already has the Toyo's. I'm still driving the '07 in the meantime for another month before I turn it back in (lease).

Nice work man, looks great! One question, I thought it was a big no-no to stack blocks?

That's what I thought but that's how this kit is. My '07 Pro Comp lift stacked blocks too. They have pins in them so they can't come apart or 'shift'. Might replace it with a solid 5" block eventually but who knows. That's the way it was designed I guess.

Plus the '07 is on an incline/hill where the '01 is sitting flat. Look at the angle the '07 is sitting, that's why it looks as tall.
