2003 F150 2WD Leveling question

Ok, I seem to be getting mixed signals from some of the accessory websites. On a 2WD, do I need a leveling kit or does it have a torsion bar I can adjust to level the front end of the truck? I read in a forum that 2WD's dont have torsion bars but springs.
I dont mind spending the money but dont want to if it is something I can do.
Thanks in advance for you help.

Your 2003 2wd does not have torsion bars. It has coil springs so you will need to purchase a leveling kit.

no problem, and welcome to the site. Be prepared to catch the "mod bug" once you see some of the trucks on this site.

I put lowering shackles in the rear to level out my truck.

I would not reccomend the daystar or the trailmaster. I have the daystar kit now and its sagging about an inch more then when i installed it over a year ago. I was told that i should use a stell set of spacers instead so if i were you i would just start with them

I had a set of Daystars on a Jeep for years and never had a problem with them.

Sorry for the thread bump, but do you have any pics of your truck with the daystar coil spacer by chance?

Also, are there any leveling kits for '97-'03s that bolt on top of the shock assembly like the AutoSpring for the '04-'08s?

My goal is to get a 3.5" spindle with a 1.5" coil spacer, but that most likely would require new UCAs, and I'm having a bit of trouble finding some for '97-'03s.

The 97-03 4x2's have a completely different suspension system than the 04-08's. They do not have coilover shocks so a spacer on top of the shock would do absolutely nothing.
Also, the 1.5 inch coilspring spacer wouldn't require new upper control arms. I believe you can go to 2 or 2.5 inches of lift with a spacer or lift coil without needing new longer control arms.
