is it worth it?
is it worth it?
I am new here to the full size truck scene I am interested in getting into a 150. I see so many out there but have no idea what a good price is for options etc the way prices have changed the last year I am totally lost...

Might be just a tab bit high to me, but being the original owner of the truck, plus for how clean it looks, and he claims it runs, not really a bad deal. Email him and ask if he has all the paperwork, and if it comes with it. Also, see if you can schedule a test drive, or a chance to look over the truck yourself. Other people will eventually chime in on their thoughts, and what to look for exactly.

Wow that is almost the exact same truck as mine, one owner, extremely clean, same colors, options, mileage (when I bought it). Only difference were the seats, 02 instead of 03 and mine came with the 6cd changer, but anyways I paid 13,200 for mine 2 years ago granted that was back before truck prices took a dump but it seems like a pretty good deal to me. One thing I didnt see is whether or not it had the 4.6 or 5.4, definantly would want to find that out.
Seems high to me the way the truck market is. Offer him 8k, and go from there. But with trucks not selling much right now, you should be able to bring him down. I don't think he is going to be selling it soon for his full asking price.
Just look at the classifieds on here. Lots of trucks with high asking prices. Lots of them aren't moving, b/c there are better deals out there. If someone needs/wants to sell, they will come down on the price. If not, then they are going to be driving that truck for while.
Edit* Just noticed it is at a dealer. So you should def. be able to bring him down. Walk in there and tell them you will give them 8k right now. If they say no, walk out. They will be calling back b/c they know nobody is buying right now. And they know nobody is going to pay almost 10k for a truck with almost 100k miles right now. They probably picked it up at auction or took in as a trade for around 5, so there is plenty of room to bargin. Hell, call them up and tell them 7.5 today. Worse they can do is say no.

i'd offer 7000...dealers are always way to high...is it a local dealer?? if so tell them you found the exact same truck at a different dealer(an hour away or so) for 7000 but you like to do business locally and such...thats usually how we go about it ha...and definately lie outta your a$$ because there gunna be doin the same to you
Thanks a bunch for the input I have had rangers in the past but want a fs now. I just can see spending the $ for a ranger when fs are cheaper and like I said no clue since the prices took a dump...
