I knocked off my pass. side mirror a couple of years ago. The wife has been on my case to put a new one on. It looks like I'll have to do it.
I have the power, signal, no heat mirrors and I just don't like them all that much - but that's not why I knocked one off, either.
Is it possible to put something else (another Ford mirror) on these doors? I would like to have something bigger. Something cheaper is preferred.

Any suggestions?

Let's see: 98, 4.6, Extended cab, Lariat, long bed, topper, dirty ... what'd I miss?

P.S - This should work out fine. In the same door, I blew out the speaker, so I'll get both while it's open.

something bigger? WELL the expediion mirrors from the 03s and up will fit no problem they look like this

 

99-03 f150s have "thicker" mirrors

uh theres a 02 f150 flareside rolling around my hood with the 03 expy front end with the 03+ mirrors, my uncle wanted to buy the set i had... i'll tell him lets install one and i'll take pictures for yall

how good do the mirrors look with out the front end, I would think the round mirrors would look better.

• '03 Expy mirrors will fit on a '02 SCrew
• '03 Expy mirrors will fit on my '98

Does that mean '02 SCrew mirrors will fit on my '98?

I'm kind of pumped about the possibility. That would rock!

What other years of SCrew mirrors are compatible? I need to start checking prices and junkyards.

the travel mirrors from a SD will not work.

 

i know for a fact that the 03-06 Expedition Mirrors will fit on the F-150s from the 97-03 all kinds single cab, extended cab and super crew. If you don't believe look at these pictures the 99-02 Expeditions have the same big black window trim under the window that the 01-03 super crews have, and what do you know? the 03-06 expeditions have the same piece (they just redesigned it a little but it's still the same size)

the 97-03 f150 single cab and extended cabs are a bit smaller since they don't have the b pillars and the black window trim piece BUT the mirrors will still fit they will just reach down a little more look at the picture where i colored black

There seems to be little question with the Expy mirrors fitting on my 98. I'm glad to know I have more options (at the junkyard) now. The last few times I went, they gave me the line about not having any other F150s ... and how quickly they sell pickups and parts ... yada yada yada
Also, the aftermarket mirrors seem to be pretty slick. I just don't want to pay that much.
