97 f-150 4.6 p0307

Hello all, I just recently scored a 147,000 mile not taken care of very well of F-150

So I figured new plugs were in order

Changed them out now I get a P0307, and obviously the engine misfires, and P0307 is the only code that pops.

The only thing I have found is that it only starts to misfire after it warms up. No milky colored oil or gas smelling oil.

I am going to do plug wires tomorrow, and if it persists coils. I also bought a fuel filter.

Any other things I should check out?

I know it is misfire on Cyl 7

Which is the 2nd from the firewall on the driver's side

This is my first Ford ever owned, I figured I would let the people who know tell me instead of guessing. Hoping it is not a cracked head, just wondering if anyone else has went through this, and this seems like THE F-150 forum

Did you use dielectric grease when you changed the plugs?

We have some very experienced members here who have had trouble with Autolite plugs in the modular motors. They are NOT the same as Motorcrafts.

Before you throw too many parts at it, do a compression test.
