02 F150 needing gears

My friend has a 02 F150 with a 5.4 and wants to install 4.10s in it. Does the older body style still have a 9.75 rear axle and whatever size front like the newer body style?

Also does anyone sell both front and rear pinion/gears in a kit? I also need a install kit for both axles.

honestly I haven't looked much into gears for F150s and I'm not sure which brand(s) to go with or stay away from. Any help would be awesome!

What size rear end you has is determined by the engine size i think, but if iits a 5.4 it definitely has the 9.75. Now if its 4wd you will have to replace the front and the back. And Yukon makes a very nice set of gears.

Yea I realize that you have to replace front and back. I figured it had 9.75 in the rear but I wasn't sure? What size axle is the front on a 4x4?

Fronts are 8.8 reverse cuts I believe.

go with precision gears. they are the only guys who cut all their own gears. the only other brands i would consider are ford racing and yukon.

yes, the 5.4 has the 9.75, and the front is the 8.8 reverse cut IFS.

I plan on doing the same thing. www.reiderracing.com has 4.10 Precision gears, front and rear with install kits $443.99 shipped.

reiderracing screwed him on shipping, price quote, etc. he eventually got it straightened out, and his truck has 4.88's sitting on 38'' toyos.
