California registration help!!

I need to register my truck on Friday here in California. According to the website I need to get it weighed if it weighs more than 6000lbs... My 2002 extended cab is lifted, has 20s, and a bedliner. Should I get it weighed, or do you think it is still under?

I also don't know if anyone has any tricks or bad experiences to look out for when I go in, because I know the DMV is pretty f'n sneaky... I don't want to have to fork out a ton of money just to register it especially with these gas prices!

Thanks for any advise guys!

You should be ok, my 97 reg cab with me in it only weighs in at about 4200.

Check out this link and scroll down to the weight table. Only the suprecrew weighs more than 5000.

All P/U trucks in Cali are registered commercial, with the resulting fee
