I liked the 17's too, but they were used when I bought them and were starting to flake pretty bad. I was able to sell them with the X-terrains for a G, I always liked the looks of the HD 20's and the truck doesn't really see that much off-road anymore so I found a set for cheap and mounted them up. I think I'll go with Open Country M/T's once these A/T's wear out or I can sell them.

I still have a set of 16 eagle alloys with BFG's on them that I'm not sure what I'm going to do with, maybe just sell them I guess.

I used to swap tire/rims for winter, but since the truck has seen all of 2000Miles since last fall, I'll just keep these ones on and try to keep them clean.

Hows the SAS going?

Its getting there. really really close to being done. I have to shell out money for new rear leaf springs since i cant find anything used. But that will actually save some fabrication time since i can just bolt them right into the stock location.

then just have to lengthen the driveshaft and add a drag link and im done for now.

things that got to get done:
1. Transfer cases need to be rebuilt and bolted together
2. Then lengthen the front d-shaft
3. Hydro assist needs to be mounted and steering box needs to be tapped
4. Look for some bigger tires
5. Built transmision
6. Paint Job (cant wait for this)
7. Cummins

that will finish the build for now but the list can be done later, i only need a few more things to make it driveable.

that was probably alot more than you really wanted to read haha

Dunno
I have a 6" Fabtech lift that is NOT cranked all the way up so my tires do not look too small. I am only running 305/16's on 10" wide wheels. The BFG 305's are like 33".

hunt&fish, so it's just the fabtach you have on there? no body lift or anything? the stance looks really good.

hunt&fish, good looking truck....love the stance it's got...i was gonna put a 6in on mine but everyone told me the tires would look way to small, it could definatly hold a 35, but i think it looks good with the 305's, thats wat i'm running on mine right now stock....

ebxgsxr- yep, no body lift. just the stock Fabtech 6" suspension lift.

c.cartwright99- I was kinda scared picking up the truck after the lift. I thought it might look kinda silly with the smaller tires, but I can definitely live with them until they wear out. What really helps is having the 10" wide rims. I dumped the 17" stock wheels, and went with 16" when I got the BFG's. It looked a little stuffed without the lift, but still way better than stock. A few guys on here told me they would be fine as long as I didn't crank up the suspension all the way. I like the height just the way it is, and will probably keep it that way even if I go to a 35" tire. here is a picture before the lift, when the tires and wheels were brand new:

Finally uploaded some more current pics. Took off 4x4 decals, took off bug guard, chrome tail light covers, tailgate handle, and chrome bed rails. Bought a new front bumper, acetoned emblems, and put on GM tow hooks. and gave 'er the first wax after winter
