Sorry for the poor pictures, it is dark outside and of course I am using my cell phone for pictures. I bought all my emblems on ebay used, but they look brand new and less than 1/2 the price of the stealership.

Lightning Headlights installed

Tailgate

On my front and rear emblem, I got bored over the weekend and ripped the overlays off. I heated up the entire emblem and ripped off the entire rubber/clear part leaving the emblem in total chrome. It had a couple spots that left the blue stuck to the emblem, so I painted the whole emblem with matching paint from automotivetouchup.com and left the FORD part in chrome. Then I clearcoated the whole thing and it turned out pretty good. If I could do it over, I know what to do and would take my time.

On the side emblems, of course it is like new where the old emblem was and the new did not cover up all the spot where the old one was. So, if I can buff it out and hide it better, then the door trim will come off as well.

The tailgate emblem off the newer trucks does show a gap between it and the tailgate of mine, due to the original placement in the groove on the tailgate of the newer trucks. I should have caught it when I put it on. I also should have paid attention to what I bought because they do have the F150 only emblem for a fender. However, you cannot see the gap unless you look for it/know its there. I will be taking off the tailgate emblem and doubling up the tape.

I was concerned about water getting into the holes and rusting the tailgate and fenders out. Therefore, I went with the regular fender emblems so they are flat against the fenders.

You need the tailgate emblem from the 2009 flareside trucks since they are flat because their tailgate doesn't have that lip/groove. The part # is 9L3Z-9942528-E. The overall size of it is a little bit smaller too I think.

I got three of those for mine and re-used my Triton V8 emblems.

I paid $10 for it, I should have thought it through. I will get the other one, thanks for the part number. Sometimes, you just have to learn the hard way.
