Yeah I bet gas was killing you. That's why I have stock wheels cuz its my DD. Since it's a V6 the 24in rims I want, would kill the small amount of power that I have. A S/C V8 would roast them bad boys!!!

Blue...Great looking truck! I have a PIAA valance and the 520 lights like you but no truck to install it on. I wrecked my 02 screw...I have the valance and the entire "kit" for an L swap in my garage. I'm keeping my eye out for the right deal for another 02 or 03 FX4 screw. anyway great looking truck!

Very Nice, So what modifications were needed to the truck in order to get that in there. Any wiring harness issues? My understanding is the Lightning Swap was not feasible in the 97-98 model years. Please supply any information you can. I just stuck A new engine in my truck and wanted to upgrade to a Lightning Block and setup instead of the Procharger I currently have.

Only wiring besides added the ic pump wiring ( just taping a key on 12v wire ) was to extend the tps, and moving the iat sensor to the charge temp provision on the midplate. 97-98 trucks had different heads ( non-pi ), this is the reason. The only difference between a lightning block and a reg na block is the pistons. Ill type out a complete mod/engine list later tonight

damn! i thought 130 temps were high!

the truck had to run like a pig from pulling all the timing with such high temps.

It's going. Been crazy busy with work, class, and trying to study for E-6. Also getting ready for my flight evaluation so i can start doing the in flight tech thing again. How's the truck doing? I still have all my stuff for the swap. I have a deployment coming up in may. I won't be back on Guam till march of 2014. I still plan on buying a raptor when I get back. I'm also planning on trying to find a 02 or 03 FX4 with the 5.4 to do the swap. I don't have it in me to sell the swap or the piaa valance. Not after what I had to go through to get it haha. You could say I paid way more the the original price. The wifey and I just picked up a 2005 4runner sport edition 4x4 v8. Love that thing! It's also really fast for a SUV. Any other plans for your rig?
