I never got a chance to ride in it or drive it. But everyone says how crappy those tires actually are and that they will wear out really really fast. So other than the gnarly looks, they aren't that good of a tire from what I've been told. I haven't seen the truck come back to our service department since we sold it so I'm not sure how they are wearing or how many miles are on them already.

Man with so many of the 04+ guys going 6 or 8" lifts, the 97-03's look a little more custom lifted, and IMO look tougher lifted then the newer ones. Almost makes me want to get another truck just so i can lift it.

www.custom-hood.com This is the only place I have found that makes this hood . Its fiber glass and made to have the ports cut out if you want but I havnt because of all the mud that hits them when I go play. hope this helps.

how durable are those fiberglass hoods? I've always worried that they'd be too easy to break/chip.

They are actually pretty good, I havnt had a problem yet but If you dont get a good paint shop to prep and paint them right then the paint will chip easy. If you look inside the scoop you will see one little spot there were it happened already and I have only had it painted for about a year now.

Thanks man, your truck is badass with that hood on there. Take a look at F150-Rider's truck. He's got a 6 + 3 setup running on 35's and it looks pretty good.
