this is a rather new section of the forum so they havent put one up.

Its been brought up before.

I highly doubt they will put one up it takes them all day to do little crap like that.

good question though

My First Truck

I'm newish. I have made a few posts but decided I will post pictures of my truck now that there is a thread for it.

I bought it in about July sometime of 08'. It is a 2003 F-150 XL. It was at a local dealer 5mins. away from my house for $5,000 plus plates, registration, taxes(I think it was a steal)...all that stuff. I think there has been some stuff done to it before I bought it but not sure...this is my first truck and love it, always wanted a Ford since I had a permit. Here are some pics of the truck.

If you guys can help me possibly figure out if the previous owner has done anything I would greatly appreciate it. I have had a Alpine Radio with Speakers and Viper Alarm put in. What I think might of been modded is Exhaust(it has 2 going to each side), Wheels & Rims, and possibly a lift. Like I said I'm totally clueless when it comes to trucks right now since this is my first and I know little about cars/trucks excepts for basics.

I'm not totally sure yet what to do next. I'm not too sure what all has been done to it so I was hoping if anybody can possibly look at those pictures (or I can take more if needed) and tell me what has already been done so I know what I don't need to do. It seems to sit high up (but then again I was in Corolla before this soo....) is why I think it's lifted in some way. I'm also not sure about the exhaust, to me I think it is modded but with what I have no clue.

I guess a few of the things that come to mind first that I would like to do:
1. Lift (if it isn't already) What are good brands to look at if my truck isn't lifted yet.
2. Change Headlights and I hear Nightshade is the thing to do with Taillights/3rd Brake Light.
3. Exhaust (again if it isn't already changed). I like the deeper sound vs. the high pitched sound.
4. Possibly a Brush Guard. Not too sure though if I would like how it would look.
5. Then I would go inside and do some interior changes to the appearance.
6. Then to the engine stuff.

Basically I guess from the outside to the inside and then the engine/hood stuff. That is kind of what I'm thinking about now. I need to find what parts I want for each and stuff still. That is kinda my rough outline of what I'm thinking. Also need to get some more $$$ before I go doing too much more.

hey man nice truck...

BUT

have you ever ran Thornbirds? They really arent that great of a tire for anything. They wear oddly and dont clean worth a ****. you would much better going with a Super Swamper TSL, SSR, or a Maxxis Buckshot mudder. My TSL's have out lasted and out wheeled the set of Thornbirds i had on my ranger. Theres only one other tire id consider running on this truck and that is the super swamper bogger in a 38.5x11x16.
