Tune Turns 2015 F-150 into Supercharged Monster
Dyno run shows horsepower on 5.0L V8 F-150 doubles.
When it comes to big gains, you’re not going to get much more impressive than doubling horsepower. Michael Haim AutoVlogfrom the You Tube channel was looking to add some major power to his 2015 Ford F-150 5.0. He turned to the team at VMP Performance, and the results are fairly insane.
VMP starts out by running Haim’s stock 2015 F-150 on the dyno. And it’s already a pretty hulking beast, to be sure. There is no shame in its game.
So the specs at this point are 314 horsepower and 322 lb.-ft of torque.
The team gets to work on the truck. They choose a forced induction package that will give Haim the power and torque he wants. They install a VMP Stage 3 Kit, Gen3 TVS Supercharger, and custom cold air intake.
For the purposes of the video, all of this goes quickly, but they include a lot of great information.
Next, it’s time to take it to the dyno. Running on 93 octane gas, they hook it up and let ‘er rip. It’s a treat for the ears.
And the results speak for themselves. Crazy power has been pushed to the rear wheels. This supercharged truck makes 608 rwhp, 740 horsepower. The increase from stock is awesome, and is possibly this super truck’s origin story!
