Towing Test: 2014 Ford F-150 CNG vs Gasoline
F-150 owners with cost on the mind have probably considered going with CNG at some point. The initial cost is high, but the potential savings from using a cheaper fuel over the long run are seductive. The best thing about these kits is that you can use both whenever you want. The question is when should you use CNG.
The guys at the Fast Lane Truck answer that question somewhat. Their testing has the F-150 sprinting from 0 – 60 both with and without a boat attached to it. With their kit, they can switch between fuels on the fly. Neither is fast exactly, but what did you expect? They’re hauling a boat with a V6.
