Even the softest city slickers can appreciate this darling of a dentside.

If you’re the type of person who can’t wake up without consuming a coffee with a description exceeding seven words, you probably don’t see the point of a truck like this. Heck, you might not even see the point of owning a truck at all. But in the great state of Texas, where everything really is bigger, you don’t worry about stuff like that. You just appreciate the beauty that is this 1976 F-100, fit for herding cattle or cruising to the local drive-in.

We came across the dark blue beauty recently while skimming through some listings on the Classic Cars site. Which, as you probably already know, is never a good idea when you’re short on funds. And even though we don’t currently live anywhere within an hour of a cattle farm, we just feel like we need it. Because you never know when you might want to trade in that suit for a nice set of overalls.

And if you do, we can’t think of a better truck to round up a herd of cattle in than this classic F-100. We hear that bovines listen about as well as your spouse does when you’re talking about your day at work. So it’ll help to have that freshly rebuilt 360 V8 to grab their attention. And it breathes through headers and a dual exhaust, just in case you need some extra volume.

Most of the remaining mechanicals are fresh as well, including the transmission, radiator, gear box, A/C, and carb. The outside looks fantastic draped in dark blue paint, with some tasteful wheels and bigger rubber for cruising the farm. And of course, there’s a big pusher up front in case some stubborn bull needs a little “persuasion” to get going. Or if you need to power through a big pile of, well, you know. On second thought, maybe we’ll just stick with the city life after all.
