‘Project Xcalibur’ Is a Raptor-Fied Ford F-150 Platinum

Ford F-150

In a world full of cookie-cutter builds, this Ford F-150 dares to be (very) different!

These days, we’ve seen just about every kind of Ford Raptor build you can possibly see. These off-road mavens have turned into quite the popular ride among the aftermarket, and for good reason. These trucks look awesome, perform like no other factory-built off-roaders, and they’re infinitely customizable. But what if you want that same kind of performance with a little more luxury? Like, say, on par with a Platinum trim F-150?

Well, you just buy a Platinum F-150 and give it the old Raptor treatment, right? At least, that’s what “Big Stew” did. The Alaskan resident wanted to do something different, and in the process created a wholly unique ride that’s truly one of a kind. Better yet, he has no problem posting amazing pictures of his incredible creation on his Instagram page for us to enjoy.

At first glance, we wouldn’t blame you for mistaking this truck for a built Raptor. After all, it’s got the same long-travel suspension, a similarly designed front end, and fender flares that give it that widebody look. But once you walk around the back, you’ll quickly realize that this is no Raptor. Because the massive Platinum trim tailgate applique is still there. Probably just to mess with people. Regardless, combining the luxury of a Platinum with the capability of a Raptor is a pretty great idea, so we’re surprised no one else has tried it yet.

It isn’t everyday you see something that truly makes you take a second look, but this F-150 build certainly fits the bill. Big Stew is obviously proud of his truck, too. And when you own a unique, super cool machine like this, why wouldn’t you be?
