R.C. Version of Iconic Monster Truck May Not have Bigfoot’s Big Block, but the Titan Motor Gets a Stout 30 mph Top Speed

If you grew up in the 1970s or 1980s, you undoubtedly have fond memories of the infamous Bigfoot. Built in 1975 and debuting in 1979, Bigfoot was the very first monster truck. Since then, the legendary Bigfoot moniker lives on through many different iterations. But if you really want to relive your childhood, nothing beats the original. And now you can do just that, in RC form, thanks to Traxxas.

The Original Bigfoot Returns! Sorta

Traxxas stayed true to the original Bigfoot in every single detail. The fully-licensed F-Series body features the original graphics. The famous Predator carburetors stick through the hood, and KC lights adorn the bumper and roll bar. It may not have the original Bigfoot’s 640 ci big block, but the Titan motor allows for a stout 30 mph top speed.

Best of all, this thing can really fly, as you’ll see in the video below. Thanks to a capable Stampede chassis and “shaved” monster truck tires, the RC Bigfoot will go almost anywhere. Whether you’re crushing toy cars or just flying over dirt hills, the oil filled shocks and great ground clearance can handle anything. Plus, the waterproof electronics allow you to enjoy Bigfoot in the rain, snow, or mud.

Traxxas already offers an RC version of the current Bigfoot in Monster Jam guise. So it’s only fitting that we would see the very first monster truck recreated in 1/10th scale. Even if the original Bigfoot existed before you were born, you can’t help but fall in love with the pint size version. And with RC cars becoming more and more popular among older crowds, they aren’t just for kids anymore either.
