Lego Ford Raptor Build Is Your Next Weekend Project

Highly-detailed Lego Ford Raptor lets you live out your childhood fantasies once again. Well, at least some of them.

There was a time when it was kinda embarrassing for an adult to get caught doing kid stuff. But these days, things like adult coloring books are perfectly acceptable. And enormously popular. The many amazing toys of our childhood have come back stronger than ever, making it socially acceptable for adults to play with them once again. This includes the tiny plastic bricks we all love to put together. And hate to step on.

Legos have made such an enormous comeback that building your favorite rides out of them no longer requires hours of guessing or artistic skill. Because now we’ve got a new book dedicated to mapping out exactly how to build over a dozen vehicles, including our personal favorite, a Lego Ford Raptor. And that book is titled (appropriately) How to Build Brick Cars by Peter Blackert.

Thankfully, the book doesn’t contain blueprints that were designed so that only an engineer can decipher them. Instead, you’ll find detailed, full-color, step-by-step instructions for each build. And in case you aren’t an expert on said vehicles, there’s also some rather informative and historical text on each one.

Now, in case you were wondering, building a Lego Ford Raptor isn’t exactly child’s play. The highly detailed creation consists of a whopping 464 individual parts. Mainly because you aren’t just constructing some shell of a body with some wheels and tires on it. This detailed build features an engine, suspension, and even a flip-up tonneau cover.

In other words, your bricked Raptor is something you’ll want to proudly show off once completed. Instead of trying to hide it from your friends like some closet Peter Pan. And look at it this way: Building a Lego Ford Raptor is probably a safer bet than reliving your youthful pro skateboarder ambitions. Just try not to step on any loose pieces.
