“Gotts Mod”
Think of an engine as a huge air pump. The more restrictive it is, the less efficient it’ll be. That’s why equipping your truck with a high flow intake is not just a performance upgrade, but it might help out your mileage.
Obviously, cold air intakes cost money. Luckily for you, the Gotts mod doesn’t. It basically consists of modding your air box for increased flow by removing the snorkel. There’s a ton of threads about this mod for different generations of F-150 in the forum. Late model trucks likely won’t see a benefit, but older ones would do well to check this thread out.
