Ain’t No Party Like a Ford F-150 Tailgate Party

Automobile magazine finds that a Ford F-150 4×2 Lariat SuperCrew adds extra flavor to tailgating. 

Football season is finally here. And while our teams might not exactly kill it out on the field on any given Sunday, the tailgating party is always a winner. Trust us, we’re Bills fans, we know. If you are lucky enough to go tailgating with a brand-new badass 2018 Ford F-150 4×2 Lariat SuperCrew, you’re guaranteed a good time. Not only does it haul your crew and your gear, it makes for the perfect tailgating truck.

Automobile magazine headed out to StubHub Center to take in a Los Angeles Chargers game. The ride was a magnificent 2018 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew in Lead Foot gray. The 10-speed automatic F-150 ran on a 3.0-liter Power Stroke V-6 turbo diesel engine with 250 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque.

Writer Eleanor Segura found the F-150 had ample room for her group of five and all their stuff. “On game day the guys loaded the F-150’s 5.5-foot bed with a cooler, grill, canopy, beer pong table, groceries, and chairs…I asked the guys how things were going in the backseat. They chuckled in unison and one of them said there was still enough space for someone to sit on the floor.” Segura also found the handling and luxury were top notch.

The parking lot was filled with other pickups. What other ride would work with tailgating? The party was in full swing, with people hanging out, music playing, and, of course, an impressive selection of tailgate grub and drinks.

While Segura’s beloved 49ers lost to the Chargers, she still had a great time, in no small part to the F-150 Lariat SuperCrew.

“When the game finally ended the 2018 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew welcomed us back with open doors,’ Segura said. “Climbing back into the inviting driver’s seat was a form of catharsis. In the days that followed I thought about all ways the F-150 tailgate party made up for the 49ers loss.”

That’s the thing about a good tailgate party, win or lose, you always are sure to have a good time with some cool people and amazing rides.
