Cool Ford Trucks on OldRide Right Now

By -

Even when I don’t have any money—which is most of the time—I spend a lot of hours looking at vehicles for sale. It’s a pretty common gearhead procrastination technique, and if there’s anything I’m good at, it’s putting things off. Seriously, I meant to write this post a month ago. But check out some of these cool rides I found over on OldRide.com. My personal favorite is the one with “no rust.” Either the seller is delusional or has a great sense of humor—it’s up to you to figure out which.

1986 Ford F150: I’d like to know the story on this baby, as it looks like it’s never seen so much as a trip to Costco, much less any work duty.

1940 Ford 1/2 ton Pick Up—No Rust: Yup, you can tell from the photos that there’s absolutely no rust on this truck. Not anywhere. From what I can tell, it’s totally ready to be a daily. Well, after a full restoration. Maybe.

1979 Ford F150:  This truck might not have lived the charmed life of the 1986 F-150 in the earlier slide, but a full restoration has taken off all the rough edges.

1953 Ford F-100:  The seller says this truck could make a good daily, and given that iron of this vintage is as complicated as a hammer, it’ll probably be easy to keep running. But drum brakes all around makes me kind of sketched out—stopping is pretty important.

1937 Ford 1/2 Ton Short-Bed Pickup: There’s no mention of a restoration in this ad, but there’s it’s unlikely this Blue Oval has survived 3/4 of a century and managed to look this cherry this entire time. But stranger things have happened.
