DIRTY TALK: Ford Enthusiast Comes Clean about His First Time

Reddit user shares experience of his new F-150’s first car wash.

We’ve all been there: The very first wash of our brand-new Ford F-150. Remember that day? You worried about making even the slightest little scratch or mar from the old, tattered Motley Crue “Theatre of Pain Tour” t-shirt that you used as a sponge. You balled that shirt up and along with some extra-delicate liquid soap and warm water slowly, carefully, methodically washed that truck until it sparkled more than those hipster vampires from Twilight. You even sacrificed your almost-new Oral-B battery-operated toothbrush to make sure every lug, nut and bolt shined like a new dime.

Then, two hours later, after the world’s slowest, most methodical truck wash ever, you then refused to drive the F-150 for a week for fear of getting it dirty again. Sound familiar?

Well, that wonderful rite of passage for F-150 owners was recently shared on Reddit by one Ford truck enthusiast nicknamed “The Pollution” who, of course, also included a great shot of the end result.

“My old truck broke down 2 months ago and was having a hard time finding exactly what i wanted, saw this after a week of looking and it checked all my boxes,” says The Pollution. “Love it so far. Don’t want to do much to it, but i think a little less quiet exhaust would be nice, one that dumps in front of the rear tire. I’d like projector headlights, too, but i’m not entirely sold on anything on the market right now.”

We, however, are definitely sold on this badass F-150. Congrats on an awesome new ride, Mr. Pollution!
