Tow tire question

Hey, Ive got a question. I have the factory 16 in. tires that came with my truck. I have started towing and was thinking about switching from 3.55 gears to 3.73 or 4.11's.

My question is, what size good strong towing tire would be lower profile (wider would be cool too) so I could change the effective gear ratio and still look decent?

I hope that made sence because I'm on meds today.

Question

Your medication made you leave out the part about whether you would keeping the stock rims.

If you are, you will be somewhat limited in what you can do with those 7.0"ers.

If you aren't, then the sky is the limit.

Yep. I did

I was planning on keeping the stock rims and thought maybe there was a favorite high cap tire with lower profile. That way I maybe could squeeze out a little more torque.

I don't think you'll find many low profile tires with any kind of "LT" ratings. But, that's what you need to be looking for. At the minimum, you'll want a Load Range C tire. You maybe able to find them in a 70 series?

You'll have to ask around the local tire stores to see if they carry or can order what you're looking for. Just remember to make sure they are "LT" rated.
