Lift/tires help!!!

i have a 1986 ford f1504x4.. i300. I was wondering what would be the biggest tire i can run stock??? or should i go ahead and buy a 4 or 6 inch lift?? i just thought id try to stay at stock or 4' becuase if i went with 6' lift and just saying if i baught 33X11.5X15's they would look tiny and wouldnt want to go much bigger than those with a whole stock front and rear end?? help pleease!

my opinion would be a 4" with the 33 meets since you got a 4x, i just got a 6" on my rig and will be going with 33 meets also, every one says to run 35 meets to fill out the gap better, but i dont want no rubbing and or have to cut `n trim anything.

what would be the widest tire availbale for a 15 inch stock ford rim?? a tire guy told me to stay with 10.5?? if i went up to 11.5 he said the tire would over hang to much and wear alot faster? is this true??

How wide is the rim? If its' around 7" wide, then 11.5 would be the max.

If I was you, I'd just look at getting new rims anyways, something like a 15x8 or 15x10.

Plenty of good used ones on Ebay, plus the lift kits are cheap to buy on there as well.


You Manitoba farmers should be able to install it yourselves too...LOL

yeah i think they are 7.5 but noot sure.. so would you try the 11.5? haahah oh it will be rigged up at home.. can't wait to put the hockey puck body lift on er.. i'll post pics when im done but have you ever seen it before?
