Tire pressure monitoring system
I am switching wheels on my '07 Supercrew right now, but the company doing the switchover says I have the trie pressure monitoring system. The problem is he told me that he can't change the bands over to the new wheels so the light on the dash will probably remain on all the time. Does anyone know how to rectify this? Is there a fuse I can just pull out, or is it connected with other systems?
Thanks
Thanks

All 07's are required to have this safety feature required by DOT or who ever the right government office is that mandates this stuff....
To find the larger one's that fit a F150 with 20's roam around your dealers lot or another dealers lot and find one with factory 20's. Grab the VIN and have the parts guy look up the right one's for that truck. The replacements are stuck on with 2 sided tape. I think it's just a super large band clamp.
I learned of these because the tire shop broke a sensor swapping tires on my truck. And yes, the light stays on until it's fixed.
These guys also found that last years methods for retraining sensors does not work with the 07. Apparently the magnet must be placed on the tire tread above the sensor vs against the side of the rim. Once we figured this out, retraining takes 2 minutes.
