I found a "slightly used" set of Good Year Wrangler AT/S LT for $250. The guy told me they have 3/8 tread left. Is this a good deal??

size is 265/70 R17

Do the math that's $62.50 a tire,now what they can go for maybe $166 to $184 a tire,then are they weathered any at all.My tires are 3 years old with 17000 on them and hardly been off the road,but they are starting to show thier age even with the good tread left on them.Tires with heat and age start to go dead,the rubber gets hard and loses it grip on the road surface.One day I'll start haveing trouble with them in the New Mexico heat,but till then I'll drive with them till it happens.That my 2 cents worth
