bad week for tires but upgrade opportunity

hey all,
well I had one major blow out on my 05 SC last week and just found a damaged sidewall this evening. No accidents as a result thank goodness!! But boy those Contientals are cheapies!!
So I thought this maybe an opportunity to do a little upgrade to the appearance of my SC with a set of 2006 FX4 wheels and perhaps a little nicer of a tire. .
This evening I will order the 2.5" AS package and I want to replace the tires this week.
I am going for a look only so off road performance is not critical. So if you could help me select a tire that has a nice "semi-offroad" appearance and still work well as a DD tire I would appreciate it. I saw a 285/70/18 and it looked pretty nice!!
So any brand/ size selection help would be appreciated.

Thanks all,
Edward

I'd suggest the 285/70-17 BFG AT KO or Nitto Terra Grappler.

i agree with wandell
those are both great tires
i have pics of that size terra grapplers on my truck (02 screw) in my gallery
both tires handle superbly on & off road
& if you treat them right you can get 50k+ miles easily
hope this helped
a happy & safe holidays to yall & your families:santa:
