Wandell, please advise!

Wandell, I am trying to duplicate a "wheel & tire" package that I saw on one of the forum pages today. The person's (Toeless) setup was a 2005 F150 Lariat 4X4 5.4 automatic, he had 33X13.50R17 Super Swamper IROK Radials on Mickey Thompson 17X9 Classic Lock wheels. He had a Tuff Country Leveling Kit which I'm guessing was either a 2" or 2 1/2" kit, his postings didn't say. I have the same truck except mine is a 4X2. I will also be having an Autospring 2 1/2" leveling kit put on next week and depending on your answers will hopefully have some new tires and wheels to go with it. First off, since it's a 4X2 will the 33" tires fit without rubbing after the leveling kit is installed? Also, I liked the way Toeless' tires stuck out from the wheel well, will they still do that even though the backspacing is 5 1/2? Any help you can provide will be a greatly appreciated. Thanks. I'm going to try and include the link to his setup, hopefully it'll work. Thanks.

It will be tight since your truck is 2 inches lower than his. Someone recently posted that they were able to fit 33's on 17x9's with a leveling kit without any rubbing. However, they were using a narrower tire. The 13.50 inch tire width of the IROK's is what concerns me. With a 17x9 inch wheel with 5.5 inches of backspacing, you should be able to fit a narrower 33 like a 285/70-17(33x11.5) or maybe even a 305/65-17 (33x12.50) but I really think you would be pushing you luck with a 13.50 inch wide tire.

Thanks Wandell, you've been a great help. I'll have to do a little rethinking on how I want this to look. Thanks again for all of your help.
