2wd tire/wheel question
OK..I have a 06 F150 2wd. Not voiding my warranty is getting in the way of my hopes and dreams for my truck! I have a 2.5 AS and maybe thinking about putting a leaf on the back. I know they just came out with the body lift for the 06 but of course it excludes the flareside...which I have. I HATE the training wheel look of my truck, so my question is...
1) I want 16X10 and want my setup to stick out from the fenders (but to still have some height), so how big of a tire could I put on?
2) If I had patience (which I don't) and waited for a body lift, would it really make that big of a difference on how much bigger of a tire I could go with?
Alright sorry guys, I'm still learning and I just feel stuck. THANK YOU!!

Well, you can't fit 16's on your truck. The brakes are two large. As for a body lift, yes 3 more inches of lift will make a difference. It would allow you to fit 35's instead of 33's. As for having a tire/wheel combo that sticks out past the fenders, that will limit your tire size greatly. For the look you want, I would not go with anything more aggressive than a 9 inch wide wheel with 5 inches of backspacing. Personally, I'd go with a wheel with 5.5 or 6 inches of backspacing. With this setup, you may be able to squeeze a 285/70-17 or 285/65-18 tire (33x11.50's) on there, but I'm just guessing.
