Dumb wheel n tire question...

One of my buddies told me that since I cant find a set of Lightning rims I should just buy a set of 17 or 18" Mustang rims and just put "truck" tires on them. I have a 98 ext. flairside and am sure that they wont fit on my truck. he said that they are both 5 bolt fords and will fit and even went as far as to say " you see chevy trucks with IROC rims all the time, its the same thing!"

Anyway, we argued about that. Im right, right? Can you even fit stang rims on an F150 if you wanted to?

Thanks
Marc

Just because it has 5 lugs doesnt mean it will bolt on.

Our trucks use a 5x135mm bolt pattern, I believe the mustangs use a 5x4.5" pattern. Mustang rims wont fit our trucks.

However you might be able to find mustang style rims with our bolt pattern. But they wont be OE wheels.

Right, there are several different 5 lug patterns.
