Help with tire sizes please?

Hi Guys,

I need new tires for my 04 screw. It came with the 255/65-17's and we all know there isn't much out there in that size, although I'm finding the REVO in that size on some websites but not Tirerack.

My question is with sizing. If you'll look at this chart,

http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCal...?action=submit

Sorry, I couldn't get entire chart to go here.
Size choices I entered were
Stock 255/65-17
275/60-17
255/70-17
265/70-17

going to a 265/70-17 will change my speedometer reading by about 3 MPH. Am I reading it correctly that I will be going 3 MPH faster that my speedo is reading? Currently my speedo shows me going about 3 MPH faster that I actually am so maybe the larger tire will bring my speedo into a more correct reading.

Is this flawed logic and should I go with maybe the 275/60-17? I'm looking at either the Revo's or Firestone Destination LE's. (both have great reviews)My truck is a 4x2 by the way, with 2" drop shackles and I'm thinking the Revos are a little too "all terrain"

What has anyone else put on their trucks, keeping the stock 17 rims? The next option would be to pick up a set of Lariat or FX4 18" take-offs from someone here and spending the same $500 or so for more mediocre tires.

Yes I know a tuner would allow me to adjust for tire size but it will be a little while before I aquire one.

Thanks for the help......

Jeff
