Air Pressure on new 20s?

I replaced the 17" steel wheels that came on my 2001 Supercrew Lariat. The new wheels are F150 Harley Davidson 20" wheels replicas. What is the Ford suggested tire pressure on these wheels (front & back)?

It depends on the tires, not the weels.
What tires are you running?

I also have factory HD wheels - I have goodyear 285/50/20s on mine, and the listed pressure on the side is 44 lbs. However, I don't haul much, so I leave mine at 38 - just rides a little nicer, and I haven't had any problems. I believe the factory tire is 275/45/20 - I just wanted a bit more sidewall to ride nicer. My truck is lowered, but not as much as some, so the bigger tire helps fill the wheel well up too.

I got mine on ebay - it was a whale of a deal and I couldn't resist. Just keep looking, they're still out there. Most factory sets I've seen on ebay go from 800 or so to about 1200. There's been one set with tires for I think 3000 or something that's been on there for about a year . . . all it takes is one who hasn't researched, I guess . . . Good luck.

The pressure on the side is the max, not the recommended pressure. Not sure what the load rating is on that tire, but it almost sounds like a P rated tire. If so, you may want to drop the pressure slightly.

Air Pressure

Thanks to all that replied to my message.

My tires are Bridgstones Dueler HP 275/45VR20. The side wall list the range from 40 - 55 PSI. Currently they are set to 45 PSI.

I sent this message because my original BF Goodrich 17" tires had a lower air pressure than recommended on the side wall of the tire. Ford sets them at lower pressures to give the truck a smoother ride. Since I don't have the "Ford" information for the 20s I thought I asked.

Thanks!
Ed.

PS: I bought the HD wheels from a friend in San Diego.
