odometer problems

Question odometer problems

my odometer has gone out, asking for info on fix

cheked all fuses and and the rest of the stupid gauges work.

my odomter is the old type, ahahaha , the one that actually rotates.

also were does is recieve the signal, from the vss or from the rear diff?

Its gets its "signal" from the VSS gear, which is mounted on the tranny...somewhere LOL, Ive searched for the dang thing and I can never find it.

not sure if that will work...but if it does scroll down and one of the members (sorry i forgot the name already) as kind enough to help me and post pictures of exactly where the VSS gear is.

if that link dosent work. do a search for VSS gear, and look for a topic heading saying "VSS gear, what color would it be?" by delta17

should help you find the gear at least. good luck,

thanks for the info i have replaced my vss gear when i went to the larger tire size let just see if there is a short or the oddmeter is just stuck.....
