I have Nascar rims on my truck now and i want to paint them gunmetal instead of black? What type of paint should i use to make it really last or should i just send them to a body shop.

 

I'd get a body shop to do it. Automotive paint is much tougher than anything you will buy at a retail store (spray cans).

 

Well Yeah, I was planning on using auto paint obviously. Spray can stuff is junk. I just didnt know if i should use an enamel or many layers of clear or what for wheels. I was gonna paint them just to save money cause i dont like my black wheels but i dont want to pay an arm and a leg to get new ones so i though painting them might be another option. ANy ideas?

 

Look up a powder coater in your local yellow pages.
Much tougher than any paint.

 

What color is your truck? I am ordering black rims for my black truck. I dig the looks of it.

 

My truck is black too. I just want something different i guess. I dont like the way black looks. I like lightning wheels but they are too expensive. Here is my truck if the link works
