ABS not working with new sensor PLS. Help!

I have a 2000 4x4 with 4 wheel disc/abs.I replaced the sensor on the pumpkin and the light went off. Thought i was all set except when I got about 20 feet down the road the light came on again. I checked the new part and i believe its bad again. Anyone have any suggestions??? I also tried getting the abs codes but it wouldnt work for me. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Take it back to NAPA, Echlin (Borg Warner) parts have a warranty.
Get another one. I believe it should measure around 1Kohms if good.

Angry

thanks for the input . Unfortunately I just gave up and brought it to the dealer. They tell me that the sensor was bad because i didnt clear the code when i changed it. It is good now. My problem is i have a bad HCU unit which is gonna cost almost $700 bucks to fix. so much for the easy 10 dollar fix.

Were you having problems with your rear end locking up. My 98 4.6L locks up worse when it is cold. My Ford guy I go to said it was probably the speed sensor I'll see what happens tomorrow when I pic it up from getting a complete tranny rebuild. Haha $1900.

no it never locked up on me. I did have the retainer hardware fall off the e- brake shoes and make the wheel hang up though. good luck with yours.
