Not sure exactly different materials, tighter tolerances probably.

 

I have a question I have a similar tick but not knock and I'm thinking its bc I have an exhaust leak does this sound familiar to you ? Also where are you located?

 

Exhaust tick is very common more so on the passenger side from the exhaust manifolds. I am in Illinois.
