I understand there are tons of threads on a 4.6 to 5.4 swap but there are some things i am uncertain about. Ive read up on jmc's detailed notes only to realize it specifically states that they are for 97-03 models and the 04 heritage model. As stated, i have the 05 model with a 4.6 2v engine and 4r70e trans. I have a 98 or 99 model expedition 5.4 engine lined up for purchase. Will this swap work as easiliy as im reading for the older model f150? Will my current pcm work for the 5.4? (It had the 4r100 trans) If the 5.4 is a 98 model can i put my pi heads from the 4.6 on it? And last, as im keeping the cop ignition do i need to use the cam or ckp sensor from my 4.6? Id appreciate knowledgeable answers, thanks in advance.
