Truck owner 1979 Ford F-150 Custom - needing 2 frame mounts to install a 460 engine.

Hi all,
Truck owner 1979 Ford F-150 Custom - needing 2 frame mounts to install a 460 engine.

I just today bought from Carquest 2 engine mounts to install a very nice, smooth running, 460 engine with only 42,000 miles on it into my 1979 Ford F-150.

I am hoping the engine mounts are correct, but will know in ~ 2 days on delivery.

What I need for the install are 2 correct "truck frame tower mounts" to match both the engine mounts and the F-150 chassis frame. The present mounts were for a 351-M

engine which needs real seal repairs. They are 6 bolts to the body frame, with 2 on top & 2 on each side, total 6, with none on the lower edge of the mounts.

I have no idea as to where to get them as my local Ford dealer told me today that his records only go back so far as 1980 ... the year after Ford make noticeable changes to

all of this ... as I am told.

If anyone can direct me to a slavage yard that may have them, or any other source at a reasonable price, I would be much obliged.
Byron
