4.6 problems

I have a 04 4.6L with 96,000 miles and the problem I'm having started about a month ago My truck starts and runs fine buts dies out about 2-3 minutes after driving and it won't turn on for a couple hours then the truck turns on no problem but does the same thing
But there is no check engine light so I can't connect a code reader to see what it is
Could any one help me out??

Have you ever changed the fuel filter? You also need to check the FPDM for corrosion. It's on a crossmember above the spare tire.

You "checked" the fuel filter? If it's been more than 30,000 miles, replace it. If you don't know when it was replaced, replace it. Although there's not much information for us to go on.

No other oddities? Noises, lights, etc.? Not much information to go on. But my brain is also pretty tired right now.

Did you unbolt the FPDM and check the backside? That's where they rot out.
