perry, did you realize this thread was from 1999 that you replied to?!?!

Truckin, the IAC on the '01 5.4's is on the back side of the intake manifold and I'm not sure you can get it off without taking off the whole manifold. It has a gasket. If your TPS is bad, it should throw a code. I'm assuming your check engine light is not on and there are no codes since you don't mention.
