https://www.f150online.com/forums/im...ies/banana.gifSUCCESS!!! ok folks it's running fine with the new [used] distributor so it appears it was the PIP all along..., maybe. now here is my question: without replacing coil, cap, rotor,ICM mod.,plugs etc then finally the dist. how would someone else here know to go there [PIP] first? remember it wouldn't start, so no operating temp, so no accurate codes. is the 1st indication the tach side of the coil being lit steady? why i'm asking is so someone else doesn't go through the hassle i have, much less the expense. i know why these forums are here and i've learned quite a bit in a short time because i had to get greasy. but there are guys out there who have minimal time and money to replace part by part till they get it right. most likely i didn't need a coil or an ICM mod. so there is about 80 $. plus the fact wife and i had to split her car for work, she loves me though!! now for the next project..... 1986 F250 302 efi 3/4 ton ,this thing has b***s!! fuel pressure is erratic... any ideas? btw the tank/pump is new [used] 2 years ago. single tank alsohttps://www.f150online.com/forums/images/smilies/beers.gif
