number 2 cylynder miss fire

I have a 97 with the 5.4 and the spark plug blew out and i replaced the plug the cop and all that and it still has a slight miss to it the check engine light is still on and it flashed one time and i was passing one of my buddies doin about 95 and i felt a power loss and the light started flashing the guy at the shop said the plug was to close to the piston and it was closing the gap causing the engine to miss fire the codes also said that the 02 sensor on the right side was not working properly and a egr code and something about an evap code i really like my truck any help will be gratefull i really want it fixed

Need to know if the threads in the head have been damages by the plug blowout and what was done to fix it.
Need to know if the COP and boot are damaged.
No you cannot put a plug in to deep if the correct plug was used.
Reason is the plug seals on a taper in the head. The plug cannot go any further down into the cylinder beyond the taper seal point..
Seems better workmanship is needed and a bit more contol in driving is in order.
